Oh man. Wintergirls is SUCH an intense read. It’s definitely worth it, but you need to prepare yourself mentally for it and really give it the time it needs and you need to set aside time afterward to collect your thoughts and go back to living your normal life.

Thanks for replying<3 When I became a vegetarian years ago, I used it as an excuse to fuel my eating disorder as well. It’s encouraging to know you don’t regret becoming a vegan even through that, though.

I’ve actually been eating a lot more protein since becoming a vegetarian, because I’m conscious of the amount of protein I need, whereas before I wasn’t. And I’m sure becoming a vegan will just make me all the more aware of the nutritional value in my food (which could also be a bad thing. but. yeah) I bet I get more protein than meat eaters do.
